My son completed his braces treatment after only having them for a year and a half. It was so much quicker than expected. Such a great experience having it done with Smiles & Faces Orthodontics. The staff were excellent, the whole process from checking into reception and having the visits was all so efficient. Dr Chang was also great and friendly and had a lot of confidence in him. This was the best decision and my son is so confident with his new found smile. Thank you very much can’t speak anymore highly of the whole staff

I am 19 years old and got my braces off today after just under 2 years! The overall experience was lovely; the practice has a relaxed atmosphere and all of the staff are super friendly and eager to work efficiently. Dr Chang and Dr Daniela operate with attention to detail and are very patient with inquiries. Each appointment was quick and simple. I am very happy with my results! Big thank you to Dr Chang and staff! :D

I recently had a very frustrating experience at Smiles and Faces Orthodontics regarding the collection of my replacement retainers. After losing my retainer, I attended the clinic, had my models taken, and made full payment (over $300). I was told the retainers would be ready within a week and booked a 9am Friday appointment to collect them. On the day, I received a call at 8:50am but couldn’t answer as I was on my way. I tried calling back immediately, however no one answered as the clinic does not open until 9am, despite the voicemail advising me to call back. When I arrived at 9am, there was no one at the front reception. After waiting approximately 7–8 minutes, I was told my appointment had to be rescheduled. Initially, I was told the retainers could not be found. I was then told the appointment needed to be rescheduled because the staff member who worked the day before (and may have known where the retainers were) did not start until later that day. I asked whether the $50 fee would be waived or reimbursed given the inconvenience, however this was refused. I raised concerns that patients are charged $50 for missed appointments, yet when the clinic reschedules due to internal staffing or organisation issues, there is no consideration for patients who have taken time off work, travelled a long distance, or paid for parking at Westpoint Blacktown. Returning later that day was not an option for me. After this discussion, the receptionist went out the back and later returned to say the retainers had been found, which was confusing given that I had just been told they were lost. While an apology was given earlier, the overall experience was extremely disorganised, with poor communication between staff members and little regard for the patient’s time. Other than this 1-star experience, I am happy with the final outcome (which was 5 stars). However, booking a 9am appointment and then rescheduling it due to internal staff availability and organisation issues should not be the patient’s problem. I hope the clinic improves its organisation, communication, and accountability going forward. Thank you your your time
