How we source, verify, and maintain dental directory information

Our Commitment to Accuracy

dentistrynearme.au is an independent Australian dental clinic directory. Our goal is to provide accurate, up-to-date information to help patients find dental care. We do not accept payment for clinic listings, and listings are not influenced by commercial relationships.

How We Source Clinic Data

Clinic listings on dentistrynearme.au are sourced from:

  • Google Places API — business names, addresses, phone numbers, opening hours, and patient ratings verified against Google Maps.
  • Google Maps patient reviews — sourced via verified API access to reflect genuine patient experiences. We display a representative sample of the most relevant recent reviews for each clinic.
  • Clinic websites — service information and specialist details cross-referenced with each clinic's own published content.

Dental Cost Guides

Our dental cost guide pages (e.g., scale and clean cost, dental implants cost) are compiled from:

  • Australian Dental Association (ADA) Annual Dental Fee Survey — the ADA publishes an annual survey of fees charged by member dentists across all item codes. We use this as our primary fee reference.
  • Publicly listed clinic fees — published on clinic websites and patient information materials.
  • Government health department schedules — including the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), and Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) fee schedules.
  • Private health fund benefit schedules — publicly available schedules from Bupa, Medibank, HCF, and NIB.

All price ranges are approximate guides only. Actual costs vary between clinics, depend on case complexity, and may change. We recommend requesting a written treatment plan from your dentist before proceeding with any procedure.

Review and Update Schedule

Clinic listing data is refreshed quarterly using the Google Places API. Patient reviews are refreshed monthly. Dental cost guide pages are reviewed and updated at minimum annually, or whenever the ADA publishes a new fee survey. The "Last updated" date on each cost guide page reflects when that page's content was last reviewed by our editorial team.

Corrections and Inaccuracies

If you identify an inaccuracy in a clinic listing or cost guide, please contact us. We aim to review and correct substantiated errors within 5 business days.

Independence

dentistrynearme.au does not charge clinics for listings, does not accept sponsored placements, and does not receive commissions for patient referrals. Clinic rankings and sorting are based exclusively on publicly available Google patient ratings and review volume. We have no commercial relationship with any listed dental practice.
