Yes, Bankstown has numerous dental practices with Arabic-speaking dentists and front desk staff, reflecting the suburb's large Lebanese and Middle Eastern community. This makes it easier for Arabic-speaking patients to communicate their needs clearly. Call ahead to confirm Arabic-language availability at your chosen practice.
I strongly advise others to avoid Dr Giurgius. I attended the appointment extremely unwell, struggling with a severe cough and difficulty breathing. Despite this, he was dismissive and rude, showed a complete lack of empathy, and did not provide any medication. Instead, I was told to get blood tests and return at a later time, despite my condition. This was a distressing experience, and I felt my concerns were not taken seriously. A healthcare professional should show care and compassion, and unfortunately, this was completely lacking in this case. STAY AWAY FROM DR GIURGIUS
Dr Ashraf Selim is the worst doctor there is, no wonder he has restrictions put on him from the commissioner, he is not knowledgeable or equipt to me helping sick people, prescribe or check up. He is lacking in medical expertise. I will also be complaining to the medical commissioner and hopefully he will get his medical license suspended. Shame!!!!
My family and I have been going to this practice for 4 years now. My son and husband see Dr Selim and my daughter and I either see Dr Emily or Dr Natalie. We also sometimes see Dr Gurgis. I highly recommend all the GPs they listen and provide excellently advice. They are caring and have helped us though a number of medical situations. My son is even happy to see Dr Selim as he treats him so well. They do not over prescribe things like antibiotics and will question you about current medications not just blindly prescribing repeat prescriptions. They are bulk billing which is rare these days. Yes the queues can be long but what do you expect from a bulk billing practice that you can walk in and see a doctor same day. Some doctors do appointments and even Dr Telehealth after they finish seeing patients for the day. The receptionists get a hard time with the practice being so busy so whilst they can be short on the phone I think this is usually because of what they are having to deal with. I find if you are kind and respectful to them, they are back. I am very grateful to have access to these high quality doctors.
A friend of mine saw Dr Giurgius and found him to be very rude and unhelpful. Instead of giving me the medication I asked for he started judging and criticising me. He has no right to do this to anyone. He is supposed to make you feel better not worse. Don’t see this Doctor, go to another medical centre. He thought he was God. There is other medical centres that are more than happy to take you and help you. It’s all about making commission, commission. If you make the mistake of going there, stay away from Dr Giurgius.
My mom went there yesterday, dr. Natalie was very kind and very professional, but the receptionist was very very rude. She made my mom ( she was really tired) very uncomfortable and although the receptionist knew that , she kept on pushing our limits . If my mom wanted to go a second time she would for the doctor , despite the rude receptionist.
