I wish I could give more than five stars. I’ve been working with Nick, the TMJ osteopath, since the end of last year. When I first saw him, I could barely open my mouth. Through regular appointments and his thoughtful approach to treatment, my jaw has improved dramatically and is now almost back to normal. Nick also recommended that I see Megan, a Sleep & TMD dentist, to be fitted for a mouthguard to help realign my jaw and provide a long-term solution for the pain. Although I’ve only seen Megan twice so far, she has been incredibly knowledgeable and has a wonderful way of explaining complex information in a clear, accessible way. I truly cannot recommend Nick and Megan highly enough. I would also like to acknowledge the reception team. They are always warm, welcoming, and supportive—both in person and over the phone—which makes every interaction with the clinic a positive one. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the care I’ve received/continuing to receive from everyone at Melbourne TMJ & Facial Pain Centre.
I came to this clinic because my TMJ was locked and causing a lot of discomfort. The physios here have been incredibly helpful, every session made a noticeable improvement, and my jaw gradually felt better each time. Following the advice of Dr. Cynthia, I had a custom-made splint done here, and it truly made a huge difference. I’m now almost fully recovered! I’m so grateful for the professionalism, care, and expertise of the entire team. Thank you all so much for your help!
This is the place to come to if you have TMJ issues. We have found the team to be fabulous. Nick is excellent and his knowledge and skills are outstanding. He has provided exemplary care and linked us in with the other specialists there.Kerry has been supportive and kind from the minute we walked in the building. They also have dental specialists on site. Cynthia has been fantastic. This is THE place to come if you have TMJ concerns.
Mixed experience: 5 stars for Physio, 2 stars for Dental. The physiotherapy team at Melbourne TMJ has been instrumental in treating my jaw clenching. Their targeted massage and pressure point therapy really help release tension, and the instructional videos are a lifesaver for preventing headaches at home. However, I had a disappointing experience with the dentist at this clinic. After a sleep test showed mild apnea, they recommended an expensive splint to move my jaw forward. After using it for a year, my jaw alignment shifted so much that I can no longer chew properly. I’ve had to stop using it and wish I had been warned about these long-term risks before such a big investment. I highly recommend the physio services, but suggest careful consideration before committing to their dental splints.
Attended with complex jaw issues of a 16yr old. Appointment was ontime. Extremely impressed with the knowledge and professionalism. Managed to attain a further opening post surgery of my daughters jaw. She was so happy. This was maintain all day. Highliy recommend the clinic.
