Dr. Marzieh Monjazeb has been my dentist for several years now. She is always really patient answering any questions or concerns. She genuinely makes you feel comfortable and I always feel like I’m in safe hands when I see her for my check ups or any treatment! She’s the best! :D
Very disappointing experience. This was my first visit to NIB and I wanted to clarify about my coverage before proceeding with anything. While I was standing in the queue, an assistant came and I asked me to fill a form. After completing the form, she said everything looks good. I asked her to check my coverage before starting the clean‑up. She rushed me saying that we could check later (I even came 15 minutes earlier), she was confident everything would be covered. Then both the doctor and the assistant said we need to get X‑rays before the clean up. Even at this point I asked from the doctor and assistant can you check my card? but I was being told don’t worry as long as you have the insurance it covers and proceeded anyways. However, after all the procedures were completed, I was informed that the card is not working or something may be its not covered, no proper explanation nothing and I had to pay the full amount. I had only intended to get a basic clean, but instead ended up paying for everything without prior confirmation. There was no support from the receptionist, who seemed disengaged and focused only on getting the payment processed and the signature. Overall, a very disappointing first experience, especially for someone new, with no guidance or support provided. Prior to my appointment, I called to confirm my coverage. I was incorrectly assured by receptionist that I was covered, with no mention of the requirement for Extras cover. The receptionist clearly lacked the necessary knowledge regarding health fund details. When I requested an explanation for the charges on the day of my visit, the receptionist reviewed my profile but were still unable to provide any reasoning or explanation as to why. Dr. Marzieh Monjazeb was good however I had to pay +300$ extra for services which I didn't ask for. I don't think I will ever visit this place again!
First time here and Dr. Deepthy has been amazing. Very professional. Receptionist are all friendly too. All the procedures i had were all covered by my policy so i had no out of pocket cost.
Went in as NIB said it’s no gap dental. All I got was a clean and xrays. I was charged over $230 even though I have dental insurance. This was not explained to me at any point prior to my check up. Nor were any cost structures communicated to me prior to my appointment. I would have been much been better off going to another dentist and cancelling my dental cover with NIB as it covers basically nothing. The dentist who treated me however was great. Just poor management, pricing and communication.
Absolutely would NOT recommend Dr Senote Kariakes for check up and clean. The check up and clean was only 10mins. I am so shocked - I was in and out of the chair so quickly!!! He had a 15seconds look inside my mouth and then did a rough job w the cleaning. Did not even give me fluoride treatment at the end - only put in just a tiny bit of mousse. When I asked him why he didn’t give me fluoride which is actually the gold standard, he said mousse is his own preferred choice. I really don’t care if mousse is HIS preferred personal choice. All I know is I want the gold standard which is fluoride and that is what all other dentists had given me in the past. I have been having general check ups and clean twice a year either at NIB or my local dentist for many years. I sure know what a thorough check up and clean is. Today’s exam is of such low standards and just sooo quick - it just feels like a quick money grab for the said dentist. Normally, general check ups and clean take 20-30mins at least. Today’s appt was 10mins including me walking in and out of the room. It’s just not good enough! On a more positive note, previous experiences with other dentists at nib dental had overall been positive. So it’s just Dr Senote K I’m not happy with. Please do better.

Bulk billing dental services are limited in the Melbourne CBD due to high commercial rents. Most practices are private-fee, though many offer gap-free check-up packages through Bupa, Medibank, and HCF that effectively bulk bill the check-up component. The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne on Swanston Street in adjacent Carlton is the main public dental provider for eligible patients including children, concession card holders, and DVA card holders.
