Northside Family Dental - Dentist in Gungahlin

I took my 8-year-old son to Northside Dental for an emergency tooth removal appointment with Dr Shilpa. On my request, Max kindly arranged a booking for us the very next day, which we truly appreciated. Dr Shilpa was incredibly gentle, patient, and generous with her time. My son didn’t even feel the injection, and the entire procedure was completed smoothly in less than 30 minutes. She made him feel completely comfortable throughout the process. I can’t recommend Dr Shilpa and Max highly enough. Thank you both for such outstanding care and professionalism!

Very lovely clinical atmosphere and the view out the window was very nice overlooking main intersection of Gungahlin. Very comfortable dental chair. Very professional and friendly staff. I chose this clinic because I was looking for a dental office I could visit regularly, and the reviews online seemed positive. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The check-up and cleaning were over in about 15 minutes, which felt rushed compared to my previous dentist where the same treatment usually took around 30 minutes and was done carefully. Despite the similar cost, the quality here was noticeably lower. The dentist did not examine each tooth one by one for cavities, even though this was supposed to be a check-up. I had also explained in advance that one tooth was very sensitive, but they still blew cold air directly on it, which was quite painful. On top of that, the suction for saliva was handled roughly and without care. I now realize that reviews written by people with only one or two posts are not very reliable. My experience did not match the “very gentle and thorough” comments I had read before.

The team at Northside Family Dental are friendly and efficient, from the receptionist through to the dental assistant and dentist. One of my daughters had to have a crown made within a short timeframe and they worked hard to accomodate her, moving her appointment forward when space became available and providing flexible options. They are also priced competitively and their system is integrated with my healthcare fund so claims are instant.

Excellent service. Fitted my appointment in at short notice to replace a large filling that had fallen out. Also somewhat difficult to get to the the tooth at the back of the mouth but the dentist managed it very well
