Dr Jason is brilliant. Warm, expert, and great at adapting to the patient. I asked some technical questions and without skipping a beat he gave me exactly the understanding I was wondering about with an accessible and actionable level of detail for a patient with some clinical curiosity. Highly open, conservative recommendations (which is what you want from your dentist!) and focused on long term health of the patients teeth. That's integrity these days
Not only did I have a terrible experience - the dentist was rude, during the X-rays it was so painful I couldn’t bite down properly. She openly spoke to her dental nurse how we had to do it again because ‘she’ meaning me didn’t do it properly. There was no care to make sure I was comfortable and was very pushy to upsell. They are now refusing to refund the deposit I paid for my partners appointment (we booked at the time same time). They take deposits to hold on file for your ‘next appointment’ but good luck getting it back. He cancelled his appointment well within their cancellation policy and I’m still waiting for a refund months later. After my bad experience and receiving a very overpriced treatment plan we didn’t want to continue. Terrible customer service all round. I never understood why some people don’t like going to the dentist but after this experience makes me realise why!! Awful, avoid at all costs.
Dr Ash is just the loveliest. Had 3 of my wisdom teeth removed in under 3 minutes, completely painfree, and he was so reassuring and kind the whole time, I felt so well looked after!
Our whole family have been patients at AboutSmiles Zetland for several years, even after moving to another suburb. Both Dr Ash and Dr Cindy have been excellent in making our kids feel comfortable at the dentist, supporting me through a wisdom tooth extraction, identifying my daughters need for retainers at the right time and assisting my husband with a complex crown replacement. Their reception staff are always helpful with reminding us about appointments and supporting changes when we need them. I highly recommend their professional and friendly dental services.
