Manly is best reached by the Manly Ferry from Circular Quay, a scenic 30-minute journey running regularly throughout the day. The B1 bus from the city via the Spit Bridge is an alternative but slower option. There is no direct train link — the nearest station is Manly Wharf, served only by the ferry.

Yes, the Manly Ferry from Circular Quay takes approximately 30 minutes and docks near Manly Wharf, a short walk to most dental clinics on The Corso and Sydney Road. Ferry services run from early morning, making early dental appointments achievable for CBD workers.
I visited this bulk billing centre for the first time yesterday and found it excellent. The booking and queuing system is app based, which is very convenient. You just book your appointment, turn up and wait for your name to be called. No need to register or check-in with the receptionist. This is also safer for the centre staff as it minimises their interaction with infectious customers. The wait time was better than expected. The queue system is also fair, as patients are seen in order. The waiting area is vast and comfortable. No worries about sharing germs with other customers as there is so much space. The doctor was great, just as you would expect in Australia. The appointment was quick, but not rushed. He asked all the right questions (based on my experience of other doctors in other places). It is well located in the middle of Dee Why's shopping precinct with public transport connections to anywhere on the Northern Beaches and beyond. I live in Manly, but took the bus to save the hassle of parking. Conveniently, there are two pharmacies nearby for prescriptions. The one right next door is particularly good in my experience.
Attendance after attendance and i'm always left disappointed. This morning I visited this clinic and saw Dr Ali. After explaining my symptoms, he asked "Are you on your period?", a classic response I would get visiting this clinic being a young female. I replied no and explained my medical history. After dismissing what I had just explained, he came to the conclusion it was a migraine. I have never had a migraine in my life. I also explained this. I visited the pharmacist with a script for migraine tablets and explained my situation. The pharmacist told me to go straight to another doctor for a second opinion as it did not sound like I had a migraine and was hesitant on giving me medication for a condition I did not have. If I had not explained my situation, it would have caused "more harm than good", quoted by another doctor. Trust your body and listen to yourself!
Very disappointed. We came in and were in the cue and our name got called and just as we were walking up they decided to replace us with someone else and take them into the room leaving us outside after our name was called. The lady I am with just had serious surgery for a cyst removal that burst. We came in and had our name called and then we were put behind someone else and had to wait for their appointment to finish. Very unethical of the doctor and this was extremely frustrating for the lady I am with as she was in extreme pain. Very unprofessional and when we asked one of the doctors at the front desk, she had a nasty look on her face and seemed frustrated that she had to look up the name for us. Very rude staff that need to be trained on how to kindly deal with situations. After we got to the door I asked DR Ali to apologise for this and he refused to give an apology to the women I was with, proceeding to say “he’s not a magician”. The receptionist at the front desk was also rude after I asked her to change doctors and asked me to not stand close to the desk when I was literally 5 metres away from it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff are rude and uneducated. Apologising to someone for being unethical, isn’t difficult.
Always have to wait 3 hours + for an appointment. Really incompetent doctors. I would only use them if I needed prescriptions referrals or certificates. Otherwise, you’re literally better off googling your symptoms because ongoing care does not exist here. Im writing this because I had a doctor’s certificate written up for me and the doctor literally signed it in the same of a random physiotherapist instead of his own name. I realised the mistake when I got home and tried to call the centre at 1pm and sat on hold for over 1 hour 30 minutes before I just gave up and hung up. It’s clear all they prioritise is getting people in and out as fast as possible and take no care in providing any standard of health care. Other clinics are now starting to bulk bill more often. There’s no point going here.
My 3 year old had a condition that got me worried on Australia Day. It was between going to this clinic or hospital. When I looked at the doctor available, I remembered seeing Dr. Ali Shirzad Moghaddam for myself and feeling very confident and well looked after, so I decided to book with him for my daughter. We want the best for our children, and I couldn’t have hoped for more. Kind, caring, patient and thorough. I came out with clarity and a pink lollipop to my daughter’s delight. Likely our new family doctor.
