Can't recommend Dr James enough. Very gentle, thorough and meticulous in his work. Great bedside manner and always makes me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout my procedures. The receptionists are all very lovely, helpful and understanding with any concerns and queries ive had.

I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to treatment with Dr Alison Downes, particularly if your teeth are functioning normally and you have no symptoms. In my case, an amalgam filling was removed from a tooth that had been completely asymptomatic and functioning normally. After the procedure, the tooth became difficult to chew on and I have ongoing problems with it. I was also charged for further appointments to investigate the tooth after the procedure left me unable to chew on it. I have since consulted two other dentists who both advised that the work carried out was not necessary. They also told me they would not have recommended any of the other treatment that has been included in my treatment plan. I wish I had sought a second opinion before proceeding. I also found the communication and support around these symptoms very disappointing. When I continued to experience problems, I did not feel listened to or supported in addressing them.

Exceptional Dental Surgery. All the staff here are very professional, considerate and caring. The standard of care is second to none. Dr Alison, has been my dentist for the past decade. She is patient, kind and very skilled at what she does. Everything is explained fully before any treatment goes ahead. Thank you Dr Alison, and your team, for providing excellent dental care in our village!

I had the most enjoyable experience at Coastal Dental Care. As a nervous client, Dr Ali made me feel at ease and relaxed. The girls on the desk and assisting were lovely and friendly. Nobody really loves going to the dentist, but this practice will change your mind.

Thank you to all the staff I’ve encountered at my visits, they have all been so nice and reassuring. Needed to have extractions for dentures and understandably very anxious, Dr Ali did the extractions and was very understanding of my anxiety and was very gentle and reassuring. A better experience than I anticipated, highly recommend.
