I have been seeing Dr Jimmy Gim over the last two years after being sent here from my general dentist. I could not fault anything. Very nice guy who explained everything. I paid for an initial consult but had return several times after without any further charges. I would recommend Dr Jimmy Gim and would not hesitate going back in the future if required.
Last year came for a tooth to be fixed with dr Fiza I paid $980 today I came back because from the beginning I wasn’t happy with the job she did, she told me to wait until my tooth settled with the sensitive and it had a little gab on the side that she never fixed it. I am very disappointed poorly service and not taking accountability for their job. Today I came for her to look after my tooth and want to charge me again with a plan to redo my tooth. I don’t recommend this place you ended up spending so much and unhappy with her service.
We had a great experience at Canberra Prosthodontics with Dr John Cho and his team. He was gentle, attentive, highly skilled, and took the time to ensure everything was completed to the highest standard. My wife felt comfortable throughout the entire process and really appreciated the care he took to make sure she was happy with the final result. We’re very grateful for his treatment and would highly recommend him.
I was referred to this clinic by a general dentist. I was assessed by Dr Anthony Dawson who told me I would need substantial treatment to build up my loser front teeth, deal with an ill fitting crown, have new partial dentures made etc. At the appointment he told me he would recommend a health hygiene assessment, xrays, molds to be made etc. and that once they assessed the information he would come up a few plans on how my dental issues could be managed. He said it would be expensive and I gave him my budget figure that i would need to keep costs to about $13,000. That appointment cost about $300. I had followup appointments with a hygiene clinician and the necessary xrays , tests, and molds ( which I was told I would not need to pay for until I chose to go ahead with treatment ). About a month after the first appointment i visited the clinic and saw another prosthodontist ( at my request for personal medical reasons) and he explained the molds and said he would send me plans and quote in the near future. I paid $650 for the molds at the end of this appointment. I received the quote a couple of weeks later by snail mail, it was printed on expensive paper, an on opening it I found that there was only one plan of treatment and that this treatment would cost $18,000 ( with no guarantee to cover if teeth chipped etc.) and did not include the cost to have 4 implants done under anesthetic that were necessary to hold my lower partial dentures according to the plan. I contacted the clinic and ask why there was only one plan and after receiving a sort of brush off answer I said $18,000 was to far over my budget and I would check out alternatives. A few weeks later upon recommendation of friends I went to the Mawson Dental Clinic and saw Dr Tom Ethell: After a complete assessment Tom came up with an initial plan that had further options which was well under my budget and likely to have the same outcome as offered by the CBR Prosthontic doctors in that I would be able to eat properly again without pain. I agreed with the treatment offered by Tom and today I ate nuts for the first time in many years without them hurting my mouth or getting under my dentures. I am not longer experiencing sensitivity nor discomfort and have been assured of ongoing dental treatment if needed within my budget in a timely manner which is a far cry from that offered by the Drs at CBR Prosthodontics. On a side note when we requested the $650 molds from the CBR Prosthodontic team I was told I would need to pay a further $100 for them as they actually belonged to their clinic.
Dr Cho is an excellent doctor
