Dr. Alliss Chan was amazing. Had two fillings done this morning and experience has always been the best here! Dr. Alliss was super friendly, thorough in explaining stuff and clarifying my doubts. Didn't feel a thing during the whole process. 10/10 recommend. Will return for my usual checkup and cleaning.

This Bupa preferred Dental Practice provided me with a refreshing experience and too my faith in the industry in general. It reminded me of when I was a child and it was a given necessity to have YOUR family Dr, YOUR family dentist and later YOUR hairdresser etc! Having been traveling for over ten years I hadn’t established any local health professionals but, in true Murphys Law style, my attitude of “I’ll get around to it” to “I need both NOW”! In fact it was in a very short space of time, utilizing my Bupa Health Insurance App, I was fortunate to locate a Bupa Preferred Dental Practice AND more importantly, secure an appointment that day despite the fact that it was late in the afternoon by the time I was able to find an appointment anywhere ! I’m sure that the gentleman on reception, Sandesh, had a lot to do with convincing the dentist that I genuinely required a consult and treatment. Within 40 minutes from this call, I was whisked thru from checking in at reception and I was propped up in the dentist chair. Dr Justin with his assistant Dr Kalpana, gently but confidently tended to my concerns whilst assuring me and putting any anxious fears way on the back burner and now after having now two visits under my belt, those initial and justified fears have completely dissipated. Dr Justin, is a young, confident and very competent Dentist who doesn’t try to ramp up unnecessary treatments which ultimately leave you with outrageous out of pocket costs, but provides a variety of methods that can be utilized in his and your course of treatment plan. He lays it out for you with an explanation of how each one could be implemented your personalized treatment plan . He advises which methods are rebate able under your individual BUPA plan and should it not be covered your informed and he honestly provides alternative methods if possible . This is what I found particularly refreshing, where your involved in the decision making process, both of you working towards the same goals and how it can be achieved AND being mindful of how it will impact you financially. Upon leaving , your greeted once more by Sandesh at reception or Coni, an “L” plate 😃 receptionist, any out of pocket expenses have already been determined ongoing appointments made and later confirmed by SMS. For someone (ie me!) who has been to dental professionals around the world, and I must add , most have been unfavorable experiences, I can say with confidence that my attitude has been turned around by the friendly, professional and compassionate manner in which every single staff member provided me. I certainly don’t have any hesitation in recommending the Bupa Dental Practice Canberra Civic, 64 Northbourne Ave, Canberra ACT.

My 4yo son had been nervous about going to the dentist for the first time. Today he had the BEST first dentist check up and clean experience in this clinic with dr. Justin Lee. He is VERY2 GOOD! My son was personally greeted by his name as soon as he stepped into the clinic. Sandesh at the front desk has such positive energy, happy and kind that my son completly forgot about all his worries. He kept my son engaged by chatting to him and the BUPA gift bag was such a game changer 😄 Going back for his 6 monthly check up and clean wont be an issue at all after this. Called them three times today, first time he quoted me a $135 dollars for OPG and $60-65 for an oral exam as well for non-members. Told me that I cna come in anytime if i just want the OPG and no examination. Then i called back again to confirm its just OPG i need and that rep was like “we dont have any availabilities you need to book”. Thats fine maybe they received a huge influx of bookings between the last time i called, i called again because i forgot to ask about something, then this guy tells me yeah shouldnt be an issue, ill confirm with the dentist. N then i confirm the price AGAIN cos its the reason why ill come, n he gives me another price now $176 for the OPG only for BUPA members. So I dont know what these people are doing, everytime you call you get a different answer. Go to Qscan $120 for OPG only. All you need.
