I booked an emergency appointment through Healthengine on 25/12 for an appointment on 29/12. I received both email and text reminders and was asked to confirm my attendance by replying “Yes” to the text on 28/12, which I did. When I arrived for my appointment on 29/12, I was advised there had been an error with the booking system and that patients had been double booked. I completely understand that these things can happen. However, I was then told there was no expected time frame for when I would be able to see the dentist. The most disappointing part of this experience is that it could have been avoided with better communication. A simple phone call to patients when the practice opened at 8:30am would have prevented a 40-minute commute for an appointment that could not be honoured. Overall, better communication is needed to improve the patient experience, especially for emergency bookings.

My appointment was on time. The staff are friendly. The dentist advised me of a few things to keep my eye on. No hard sell. Very happy.
