Dr Nikki is a kind, caring dentist who listens, clearly explains what is required, does a very thorough procedure and then takes time to talk through the process and any follow up needed. I had an excellent experience with my dental treatment, including crowns and a grinding plate. I was shown images of cracks in my teeth from long term grinding and explained clearly the need for crowns to preserve my natural teeth. From the initial consult through to the final fitting everything was thoroughly explained and I felt completely at ease and reassured about the process. The crowns look and feel natural, and the grinding plate fits perfectly.The dentist, Nikki, was highly skilled, gentle, and thorough, and the team were friendly and professional. In my past, several experiences of truly gob-smacking incompetence & downright cruelty at the hands of various dentists has coloured my gut response to even the very thought of crossing their threshold - let alone sitting in the "chair of pain". You get the picture. So, after 9 years of ignoring the increasingly urgent state of my teeth/mouth, it was with real fear & trepidation that I first made an appointment (an emergency one, of course), & then attended said appointment the very next morning. It was my 1st visit to D'bay Dental, if it wasn't for the urgency I truly would have called the whole thing off. Yep, fear is irrational & very real, of course. To cut a long tale short, I was thankfully & gratefully surprised from the moment I jittered my way across the threshold. Kind receptionists (with a sense of humour), an efficient flow from waiting room to the dreaded chair, an understanding & sympathetic dentist (Dr Nikki - take a well deserved bow!), knowledge, explanations, technique & skill calmed me down & while it's never going to be something I'm going to look forward to, this dental practice has truly made all the difference going forward for me.
