Dental On Metro - Dentist in Salisbury

I attended due to bite discomfort from recently placed filling. Dr Arjun could have just been honest and admitted ‘I’m not sure about this’, but instead my tooth was treated in an exploratory manner. He has poor clinical judgement using an irrelevant method. He could not tell where composite is and without any identification or assessment he removed contact marks which is my tooth structure then contoured my tooth trying to cover his mistake. This attitude is very concerning especially when dental interventions are irreversible. Enamel do not regenerate. If any basic transparency and clinical diligence was in place this could have been avoided. I specifically asked if my enamel will be removed, which he confidently reassures me ‘no enamel will be removed’, this is not acceptable practice misleading a patient like this when you never even assessed what was removed. I now have a structurally compromised tooth that will need long term maintenance, I have regretted so much attending this place.

I can not rate this place highly enough. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming starting from reception staff to the dentists and assistants. Arjun helps put you at ease and has been especially wonderful with my daughter who had anxiety around going to the dentist for quite some time. I myself went from going to the dentist every few years to now routinely going every six months and part of this is feeling comfortable and safe in the environment.

Based on my family experience, I would not recommend. Highly suggest getting second opinion from elsewhere before irreversible work.

I visited this clinic for gum swelling and was quoted $60 for a consultation over the phone. During the appointment, the dentist took several X-rays without informing me that these would incur additional charges. At the end of the visit, I was charged $125. I feel the lack of transparency about extra costs was unprofessional. Patients should be informed of all charges before procedures are done, and this was not the case here.

After moving to Adelaide a couple years ago and trying a few different dentists in the local area I have to say I'm glad to have finally found an excellent dentist in Dr Peter. He's quick, professional and (as someone who has sensitive teeth) is gentle and allows you take take a small 5 sec break every few minutes during cleaning as opposed to other dentists I've been to who act like they're on a time limit to get you out the chair. The nurses and lady on the front desk is excellent as well, I (stupidly) misjudged peak hour traffic and rang to say I would be late 5-10 mins late for my appointment and I was told it was no problem at all. Very impressed definitely will be back!
